NWPCA BECOMES FIRST “GOLD-LEVEL” MEMBER OF VT’S CPULD
PALLET FOUNDATION COMMITS TO RESEARCH
September 16, 2015: A beautiful fall day greeted NWPCA staff as they met with Virginia Tech leadership to finalize and celebrate NWPCA’s membership in the Center for Packaging and Unit Load Design (CPULD) and our direct support of four undergraduate student scholarships. The students will spend their fall conducting testing on the interaction between corrugated boxes and wooden pallets.
The group also discussed The Pallet Foundation’s recent funding of a full-time graduate student, as well as the additional contract testing that will occur with the university through 2015 and 2016 to advance PDS. In total, NWPCA and The Pallet Foundation have committed nearly $200,000 to Virginia Tech over the next two years.
